Weapons

 Sai

Sai span several cultures and are believed to have roots going back to the origins of martial arts in India.  Sai need to be properly balanced, weighted, and fit to the user.  Sai that do not fit the user properly can result in injury and fatigue.  Properly made sai are well balanced in the hand and work as a remarkable extension of the hand.

 Nunchaku

Our nunchaku are as interesting to look at as they are fun to use.

They feature a tapered octagon profile for a secure grip anywhere along the handle, easily adjustable/replaceable rope tie allowing for adaptation to any hand size, and a natural surface finish will provide years of use.  We make them  from both solid hardwood slabs and laminated hardwood depending on the desired design.

 Tonfa

The origin of tonfa is a clouded history.  Their historical evolution has been linked to several common day objects like the crutch (by literal translation) and a handle for a millstone.  Though there is no confirmed history They are traced to multiple cultures and martial arts traditions from okanawan kobudo, japanese Jujitsu, and multiple karate forms .

 Bo & Jo

The bo and jo are little more than a well made stick when it comes down to it.  While the common class of prople were not permited to own weapons in Japan, this was the perfect "hidden in pane site" weapon for a world that wasn;t always safe. Now, the choice of wood, how it is miled, and finished is what makes all the difference in your training.  Bo and jo for for both kata and kumite will be available soon.
